Neighbors are coming together to protect our neighborhoods.
We started in 2019, with just a handful of highly motivated residents from across California. Together, they created the first draft of our Statewide initiative and submitted the proposal to the State Attorney General’s office. Since then, we have become a movement, an unshakeable collection of residents protecting our neighborhoods: from our yards to our parks, to our open spaces, to our local cities: we are here to defend ourselves against the Wall Street Investor in My Backyard -WIMBY’s.

Starting with just a few people, we have grown to tens of thousands of supporters, volunteers, and donors. Our team has grown, from creating a separate non-profit, increasing our footprint across the State, to holding dozens of speaking events per year.

Started in 2019, Our Neighborhood Voices political arm created the initiative through donors just like you. That funding created the pathway for outreach and collaborative input across California, which made the initiative and the movement possible.
The board has grown, changed and evolved to encompass the many parts of California.
